To honor the journey thus-far, we plan to celebrate each other and all the friendly faces that bring joy to our life.
Come chill by the water, soak up the sun, and dance your socks off. It’s going to be a sweet and silly one.
We’ve been friends, lovers, and parents; why not try newlyweds!

On Friday, we will host a casual lunch at the Valley Swim Club in Sonoma. Drop in and grab a bite on your way out to The River Electric.
We’ll be in Guerneville for the rest of the weekend.

Most guests will be able to stay in a glamping tent on-site at The River Electric. Tents will be booked directly with The River Electric, and details about that booking process will be available here starting January 1st, 2025.
Glamping = glamorous camping. We will be in box tents. We will share bathrooms. Some of you will share tents with friends. You will sleep in actual beds, with bed frames, cozy duvets, and pillows. There won’t be air conditioning or heaters inside your rooms, but hey, it’s summer! Think adult summer camp.
We highly recommend that you stay on site for the festivities, but if lo-fi communal living is not your vibe - that is totally fine! Here are some alternative places you can stay:
The Stavrand - This traditional hotel is located directly across the street. It is absolutely the most convenient option off-site! 2 night minimum.
Farmhouse Inn - looks comfortable! About a 15 minute drive away.
Airbnb - there are a handful of Airbnb’s in the area that may meet your needs. Here are a couple located very close to the venue.AutoCamp - airstreams and cabins located about 5-10 minutes away from The River Electric. Still lo-fi living, but you’ll have your own (tiny) space.
Johnson’s Beach - old school spot right on the river. Has campgrounds, tiny cabins, and very simple lodging available.

The River Electric is a swim club with luxurious glamping style safari tents tucked away in the forest. Accommodations are complete with communal showers, bathrooms, wifi, and a cocktail bar – all the fixins’ you need for a good time.
Tents will be booked directly with The River Electric, and details about that booking process will be available on this webpage starting January 1st, 2025.

San Francisco (SFO) and Oakland (OAK) airports will be the most convenient. The drive to Valley Swim Club is just over an hour from both locations, and Guerneville will be about an hour past that. If you decide to drive straight from the airport to The River Electric, you can expect to get there in under 2 hours.
-
Most likely, yes; you’ll need a car to travel out to Sonoma County. We encourage you to coordinate with friends who will also be making the trek. Both SF and Oakland airports have car rental counters or you can scoop up some wheels on Turo.
-
Yes. Once you are on site at The River Electric, it is highly unlikely you will need to use your car until departure on Sunday.
-
Wear something that makes you feel alive. We welcome semi-formal cocktail all the way up to haute-couture.
We’ll be outdoors for almost the entire weekend. The venue ground surfaces are grass, gravel and decomposed granite, please choose shoes accordingly. Saturday night you can plan on an indoor dance party - so wear whatever you need to boogie down.
A note about weather, it’s typically in the 80’s during the day, but the nights can get a wee bit chilly, so bring that extra layer for your comfort.
-
I mean, if you want to swim in a pool, river, or sea of love, we suggest you get your cutest little suits on!
There's a beautiful heated pool and hot tub available– plus plenty of river dips to be had.
-
This will be an adult friendly weekend and we encourage you to find child care so that you can loosen up, drop in, and tune out of parenting for a hot second. We know how hard it is to have this split attention: keeping eyes and ears out for your littles, while spending time with friends. However, if bringing your kid helps you attend - then they’re welcome! Just give us a heads up so we can plan accordingly.
